The winery wanted an entrance sign with a genuinely hand-made character — carved rather than routed-and-painted, with real gilding on the primary copy.

The panel is high-density urethane, V-carved and hand-finished, then primed and painted in multiple passes before 23-karat gold leaf was applied to the lettering. HDU was chosen over timber specifically because it will not check, split or absorb moisture through repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

The supporting frame is fabricated steel with a hot-dip galvanised finish under the topcoat, set into engineered footings clear of the vineyard drainage.
