Push-Through Acrylic Fascia for a Fitness Studio

Push-through construction gives a considerably more refined result than a standard translucent-faced box: the copy is routed from the aluminium face and acrylic blocks are inserted from behind, projecting slightly proud of the surface.

By day the sign reads as crisp dimensional lettering on a solid panel. By night the acrylic glows on the face and the edges, and no light escapes around the copy because the aluminium face is fully opaque.

The 12mm projection was chosen against the viewing angle from the street — enough to catch a shadow line by day without looking like an afterthought.
